Cancer

Cancer

Clarence caught cancer,
Came at him from nowhere,
Does he want to talk about it?
The diagnosis wasn't fair.

Does talking bring the reality?
Do we ignore all of the gloom?
Do we talk about tomorrow?
Why are you going to die so soon?

Do we reminisce of days gone by,
And did you waste your life,
Do you know what happens when we pass away?
How will this affect your wife?

Keep it fun and light hearted,
Remember that time down the beach,
Don't dwell on what could've been,
When old age is now out of reach.

Keep an open mind,
Don't look towards the dawn,
Be there with him in support,
I will miss you when you're gone.
