OUR CHILDREN

Learn to nurture and encourage your children in everything they do

Leave the criticizing at the door; believe there’s more in front of you

Let them breathe; give them a chance, they’ll learn from each mistake

Trust and give them room to grow; because that is a winner you’ll make

Communication is the key that open up the locks

And a child will learn to trust you more without the constant knocks

Behaviors are what they will learn, and they learn them more from you

So, stop before you raise your voice because there are other ways of getting through

You’ll have to learn of your own limitations, of your strength and weakness too

Become aware of your own needs, voice this to your child, speak the truth

When boundaries become broken, or when the road ahead becomes unclear

Let them know that as a parent, you love them unconditionally and will always be there

The generation before you now will help make changes to the world

The next Astronaut or next President lives in the dreams of each boy and girl

Show this child before you now, true love and admiration

Because, in the end you’ll help build the future, with a much stronger generation.....
