Captain Oblivious

Captain Oblivious

I knew
I should've known
From the beginning
Where this story
Was going
Where it's always gone
De-railed right off
The edge of a steep cliff
Into the realm of oblivion
No return, no refunds
And of course I followed
That man and his lollipop
Right into the strange black van
Being led on by promises of candy
And fun
It's just so routine
By now I should be numb
But no I'm still dumb
Wide eyed and smiling at
The end of forever
The end where the only thing
Thats left is
Nothing
