Captin Hook

Captin Hook

He raised his sword and with deadly cries,
the hook appeared before my very own eyes.
Shining before me in the moonlit night,
the rain did pound, and the wind did bite.
A face appeared off the boat they told,
of a man with a beard and a face so cold.
Of all the people to stare and see,
to wait, and to watch as to who it might be,
I was the only one to hear the man,
with a peg as his leg, and a hook for his hand.
My breath was a blast of cold air on my skin,
I heard the knock on my door, but I didn't dare let him in.
I shivered in the darkness, the hairs on my arms raised,
but he didn't show emotion, his eyes held a glaze.
He finally walked away, with his hook swaying,
back down to the bay, where his ship was still laying.
As the boat sailed away under the light from the moon,
I could hear the ship's sails gently whistling a tune.
Then did I realize as I trembled and shook,
that I'd had an encounter with old Captain Hook.
