Careless
Crimson petal adrift lay scattered,
Lay waste to all that yesterday mattered.
Flouncing through and over roots arisen,
She escapes her life, her mind imprisoned.
Through woodland, bark and natures debris,
She walks in rhythm to songbird’s glee.
Darkened depths of earth and bough,
She trounces undeterred in frock and bow.
Free of her troubles, home to her sin,
She bestrews her floret with insensuous grin.
Brown locks of her hair flourished and thick,
Followed so close by problems evict.
Careless she wonders into the unknown,
She seeks to find herself on her own.
Her demons knocking and clawing away,
She locks her emotions and diminishes the key.
Her petals quickly wilt,
Withered without hue.
Void of all that was built,
Free without you.

I feel there is more to this poem.
A beautiful write, full of energy and light, Fantastic read Simon.
There is! well interpreted my friend and thank you for reading. Sometimes life gets a bit too much don't you think? It would be nice sometimes to break free and start again but then we erase all that is good in our lives.
