Poem -

Carry Me With You

Where will I find you now?
In the memories we made love. Just close your eyes and think of me, you will see

How can I feel you near?
In your heart my love, where you hold me dear

I miss hearing your voice...
Just listen to our child, you will see, he is the very echo of me

How do I live on without you?
Did you not just hear all I said? You carry me with you in every step

Pinned because you get it and I understand your poignant words. Sometimes I feel like this Gwendoline but other days it's not enough. I want proof, 100% proof ...I want to visit my son and hug him one last time. I want him to show me where he is!!! I want to confront god or whoever!!! Most days I am quite bloody mad with grief!! ..more than mad...outraged!!! There you go...see what your poem did 🤪😬
Anyway your beautiful words have brought comfort love...albeit...temporary...hugs 💕

Marion 💛 I totally get that. I wrote this to remind myself on harder days/nights. When my bitterness rages and I long just to know. I am so sorry for your loss. Grief is the hardest weight to carry in life. They say time is a healer. I hate that phrase. Most of the time you yo-yo and why wouldn’t you? They were your life. It’s like a piece of the jigsaw is missing and nothing can ever replace that piece. You can try and distract yourself, fill the space with something else. But the picture is never the same. Thanks for the Pin and lots of love and hugs to you 💗

Yes...you do get it. There is no journey just a pit. There is no moving on you just surpress it enough to function. There is no acceptance...just exhausted resignation. The world is dimmed.
I have had loss before of course but this one...off any worldly scale!!! Hugs right back at you love...❤️❤️

Tony, I don’t quite know what to say. I am just blown away by your lovely feedback on this piece. I use to struggle with structure. So whenever you bring up the structure of my poems it literally makes me beam, thank you ever so much. I often wonder what he would tell me. So am so pleased that a part of what I know of him touched people today. Yours just put the big cherry on the top, I was in disbelief. Really made my day 😊

Thank you Tony 🌻

Oh I so love the way you wrote and put your poem together Gwendoline.
Superbly well woven and so dramatically so.
A beautiful moving piece beautifully written with its tour de force lines to reread.❤️
Five stars and pinned, but it's not about the honours, it's about conveying your message and you have accomplished that so well.
Thank you for sharing and hang in there and I wish you well.

Life shows us the captivating dark, as well as the light. In being without another a struggle to further your expressions and impressions ensues. Helping you better understand life, what it means, and what can be. And, what can not.
Neat composition. :)
