CARRYING A MATTRESS

Bought a new mattress for my house today
Carrying it home would be easy I have to say
After a few yards I regretted my decision
So I called taxi firms to save me from derision

Sorry they said but the mattress won't fit
How to get it home I was panicking a bit
Then an idea suddenly popped into my head
How I would get this mattress onto my bed

I called my sister who had just finished work
Explained my position told her I was a berk
We puffed we panted and had several breaks
Carrying a mattress is one of life's mistakes

We got the mattress home I'm happy to say
Thank you dear sister you saved the day
