Poem -

In Case of Emergency, Please Contact: God

It's getting bad again;

I can taste it in the air

like sharp metal on the tip

of a tongue.

I evoked the spirits

and even they can't help.

I feel the blood coursing

through my veins,

red like that of a bull's eyes,

the rampaging bull,

ready to charge, attack, and die,

ready to break dishes,

to roar,

to shatter,

to leave and never return,

and I'll hate it, I know it,

I just don't understand why

my past reared back like this,

like history doesn't repeat itself

so much as reels back and

slaps you in the face.

Oh I'm not feeling well,

I'm not feeling anything.

a great life force throughout...very well done....you imply many things here and leave the reader to pick low hanging fruit; the usual suspects of lost love, regret and so forth...it opens up the imagination to options, that's for sure, I like it in that way though; a foreboding tone; very organic as well; honesty speaks...it is well written Gina, but I will stop short of saying I enjoyed it, out of respect; just because of what the reader thinks it speaks of....definitely quality work though... you should post more....have a good evening
