Cast Out From The Garden Of Eden

One year ago, this very date, we arrived at our new home;
The beautiful “Garden of Eden”, where we’d be free to ever roam!
The fruits of life were abundant, hanging freely everywhere;
No more financial burdens, no more worries, no more cares!
.
For eight months there we prospered, in the bounties of our bliss;
But an omen came on the new year, yet blinded, it we missed!
For we dealt with some adversity, thinking soon that it would pass;
Not realizing Satan was then planning, how from Eden to us cast!
.
Then one early Saturday morning, in the sunny month of May;
Like two pieces of rotting garbage, he threw us both away!
The shock of it us shattered, our hearts and Souls both broke;
The malevolence of this Monster, brought tears we could not choke!
.
Now our future is uncertain, we sail on stormy seas;
Our coffers have all dwindled, so hard to be appeased!
We fight for our survival, avoiding Death’s unwanted knell;
“Cast Out From The Garden Of Eden”, by this Monster straight from Hell!
.
.
We came here for love
But this Monster cast us out
His heart pure evil
This poem is about my former drug-addicted, and still gambling-addicted fifty-one year old son, who we trusted in when he vowed that his evil ways were over. He wanted us to move here from Florida, promising by a written contract, large financial income for Linda to be the Accountant for his company. But after eight months, he decided that her services were no longer needed, robbing her of over fifty thousand dollars she would have earned over the rest of the year, and casting us out of the beloved family of grand and great-grandchildren, that we loved so very dearly.

I remember reading of your heartbreak about this situation before Larry. I wish you both the best for the future. Evil can hide in the most familiar of faces I suppose.
Take care my friends - Syd xxxÂ
My Dear Syd,
I never thought I would find it "hidden" in the face of my only son. Â
This came close to destroying Linda and me, but we are fighters, and are picking up the pieces of our shattered hearts and Souls.
Thank you for your most beautiful words.
Love,
Linda and Larry xxx
Larry this is so very sad and unfair. I hope you and Linda find some stable happiness soon.
We allow some people that we love to hurt us repeatedly, perhaps because, like Pandora, we are only left with hope. Best wishes to you both
