A Catch

A Catch

Ive casted my line
What reeled me,
From time to time
Fisherman can get lucky.

It was the attraction
I searched the sea for a prize fish,
Unaware of natural reaction
Of one's reality to pluck a wish.

Miles from shore
The boat rocks on the choppier growing surface,
I hold on to life and rod, God save me from storm
And I promise to live with a sense of purpose.

Oceans so full of fish and beyond,
But I've found peaceful waters in the backyard pond.
