Celestial Serendipity

staring at the face of a moon.
outshined by the sun to most.
but never to me.
glowing with           purity.
a beam of                grace,
of blessings.
two craters sinking into other worlds
other people
who’ve visited the face of your moon.
some nights it could be mistaken for the sun.
a mask of illumination gracing the surface.
others it’s dimmed with         mellowness.
rarely a dying crescent of flowing silver.
but always the light shining in my heart.
setting aflame candles to my soul.
a kaleidoscope of lights in my eyes.
the center of my universe.
