Cemetery Crows

Cemetery Crows

Ashen tis parched loam
Moonbeams on starkness roam
Across valleys as corvid fly
Rush of wings wave good-bye

Harken toll on weathered stone
Faded scripts fall unknown
Obscure crows align decay
Effigies bow heads to pray

Rank tis oppressive air
Flowers once resided there
Birds don’t seem to mind
Dwelling amongst own kind

Awaiting for next feast
To swoop like ravenous beast
Condemn not for innate features
Survival keen in all creatures
