The Centurion

The Centurion

THE CENTURION

19th September 2013

A seasoned warrior to rally with,
Commander of 100 men, from another eon,
No quarter asked and none for to give,
The transverse crest defines a centurion.

In his confident gaze the legion's pride,
The cold steel of a Lorica covers his breast,
By his Gladius many have fallen and died,
The heart of a lion beats within his chest.

He was handpicked by generals to lead,
To prosecute the conquests of Rome,
For his country he would fight and bleed,
A decorated body given his wife at home.
