And daring & danger
And longing & missing
And knowing all is
Temporary & temporal
Transient & transitory
This; the order of the day
A swirling vortex of intellect & emotion
Chaos; the battle that ensues
To ward off the forces
Destructive & detrimental
Calamitous & corrosive
Seems easier
Than to preserve
Without pain & despondency
Torture & torment
The feelings situated in the body’s 
Centre
Our core, our nucleus
The essence of our being
Simply stated;
The source & seat of all the
Chaos
Our heart
