Poem -

Spectator

I feel like I’m a spectator
In the unraveling of a relationship
My own
I feel like I’m losing my home
He used to run to see me
Any opportunity
He devoured my lips
With his kisses
Now days & weeks go by
And he’s satisfied
With phone calls so cold
The leave me chilled to the bone
Par for the course
Every love affair
Runs it’s course
One party or the other
Eventually gets bored
The heat & excitement dissipate
Nothing to negotiate
Np adios
This chapter is closed
I wasn’t born yesterday
Yesterday is over & done
Today we start again
As friends!!!

Look on the bright side, Aurora Grace. At least you're friends and not enemies.
There's a fine line between love & hate. Learning how to negotiate that line without falling is the key to happiness.
Besides, we can never have too many friends, right?
