Charging Point ( Spoken Word )

Charging Point ( Spoken Word )

In the centre of the wood.
End of the summer,
last leaves whisper goodnight.

Yawning, in the breeze of Autumns coming.

I sit against the tree.
I accept the seasons change.

Leaning, in every sense,
against my charging point.

Very beautifully spoken and written.Β  I feel this often during the season change.Β  It is relatable material

In England this year autumn has persisted, we are just beginning to transition into winter. I still walk in the woods every day and the sentiments are real. The poem, though, comes from the artwork.Β
He is a landscape artist who works with the landscape. He creates his pieces and leaves them in the landscape to decay and disappear. Poetic in itself.

Thank you so much Poetess. I am very lucky to be surrounded by nature and I look to her for inspiration all the time. Thanks again

BeautifulΒ  write Nigel. I can relate to the treesΒ  and the seasons. Here I am in a windswept treeless place fronting the Atlantic ocean but I love woodlands and the changing colours of Autumn.

Thank you DD, It is odd in a way. I love my woods and that my town is pretty much surrounded by woodland but I was born by the sea and the sea was my early childhood. I still miss the sea and the woods are my solace.
If you go far enough back in my pages you can find a poem called Wells Beside The Sea that kind of sums that up. No spoken word but the painting is now on my living room wall.
I am very pleased you enjoy my work DD, thank you
Nigel

I love the woods. Moved to CornwallΒ  25 years ago so the seascape and the moors have been my outlook. But trees have a comforting elemental qualityΒ  to them which is lacking here. I'll see if I can find Wells beside the sea.
Keep writing.
