Cheer up

Cheer up

Everything’s fine, I should be okay
So cheer up already, they say
That’s what I’m trying to do every day
ever since last May
But I still haven’t found a way

You’ll be fine by September
 or in 50 years
Stop making me remember
a time before tears

When I feel like throwing up
I simply cough
Because I’m so tough
And I don’t feel like cleaning up

I’m having trouble getting out of bed
Cheer up and get more sleep instead
We’re all tired, they said
But it’s not fatigue, it’s dread
Or do you also wish you were dead?
