Poem -

Cherry

Twisted. Mangled.
Blood dripping.
Limbs tied.
Mess.
A total mess.
A mess that is mine.

I lean a little closer, hear a fluttering heartbeat.
Still alive. Damn.

Peel the wrapper off another cherry lollipop.
Sit on my stool and I stare.
Watching the body slowly turn, suspended from one point.
Nobody ever understood my art.
Lick.
Suck.
Think.

Let it bleed.
I shrug, and I leave.
