Cherry Blossom
Rosettes on vapid bough
Balmy a callow sough
Anther scepter aplenty
Rapture abides gently
Cherry blossoms aloft
Amidst chartreuse soft
Silken petals aglow
Alight evanescent snow
Bless a human-race
Bequeath thy lovely grace
Natureβs omnipotent guile
Bids spring stay awhile
Along a timeworn lane
Fuchsias gingerly rain
Swirling in spring mist
Delight in blushes kissed

Lisa I love this one it has me looking forward to spring. I saved a poorly cherry blossom tree about fifteen years ago and now every year it turns my bottom lawn pink.
The tree is lovely as is this wonderful poem. There is a very beautiful Japanese Anime film about Hiroshima all centred around the Japanese love for the flower that is the essence of spring. It is killing me that I can't remember the title but maybe someone out in Cosmoland might know.

My Dear Lisa,
Your beautiful poem takes me back to when I was a young lad, and my Mother and I visited her sister in Alexandria, Virginia.Β It was April, and we went into D.C., and saw all the beautiful Cherry Blossom trees in full bloom.Β I have never forgotten their beauty.
