Christmas

Twas the day before Christmas
I'm losing my hair
Having looked in my cupboards
To find them all bare
I grumble and trundle
Through crowds and masses
Tis the season
To knock them all on their asses
Twas the day before Christmas
I'm starting to despair
With excited naughty children
Parents pulling out their hair
I grumble and moan
Traversing through shops
Only to find
Some fuckers bought the lot
Twas the day before Christmas
As I wade through selfishness
A little voice pipes up
"Spare any change miss"
Dishevelled and cold
A sight , I do see
Eyes of hopelessness
Look up pleading with me
Twas the day before Christmas
I'm so out of touch
I realise at that moment
I have so much
I don't grumble or trundle
I stop and smile
Five pounds for a hot meal
He hasn't had in a while
Twas the day before Christmas
Greed is apparent
In all who rush and run
Selfishness is transparent
I won't grumble or Moan
Because my life is not as hard
As the man on Christmas eve
Sleeping rough in the park.
