Christmas At Sea

Christmas At Sea

Christmas at sea is different,
To the one we spend at home,
Just our working friends and colleagues,
Its much better than being alone.

There's people we should be with,
And places that we'd rather be.
But we make do with what we have,
On the vast and lonely sea.

We look forward to chatting home,
When Christmas day comes round,
It is Christmas here but it doesn't feel right,
We try and sound happy I've found.

There is a piece of us missing,
When lunch is served at home,
A longing to be there at our house,
Instead of out here on the phone.

Merry Christmas to the families,
Who hold the fort at home,
We do wish that we were there,
Instead of out here on the foam.
