CHRISTMAS IS OVER

And so Christmas is over for another year
Turkey has been ate and washed down with beer
The sprouts were there to everyone's delight 
Looking outside was grey instead of white 

Mum found a coin hidden in the Christmas pud 
Luck would come her way provided she's good 
Sister fell asleep with her mouth open wide 
I tried not to laugh but was chuckling inside

The left over turkey was consumed for tea 
So fortunate to have food I'm sure you agree 
I thought of the homeless man by the shop door
Something to ponder about and not to ignore
