Church

Church

Love a man I don't understand because of fear of damnation
At the same time love each other because we're one in the same creation
One single book used to control a nation
Makes me question everything
The songs we are told to sing
The praises that’s supposed to ring within these buildings
Is this all that is required to finally be free from the hell on earth
Rejoicing after we're already in the dirt
That doesn't seem to make much sense to me
We only have one life to lead
Spending time praising a man I've never seen
But apparently he created me
The wind that blows the trees
But science says differently
Life as we know it is but a fragment of what really is, is far from a lie
The words within this book means more than it is portrayed to human minds.
We weren't meant to live by the earthly ties
Church is for man in love with God alike
Weather 1 or 2 gathered the love washes over like a tide
Walking out with strength in your stride
Knowing that the almighty is at your side
Understanding the holy spirit might’ve took me some time
But i get it now
Sence of relief comes over me after a sermon and i understand how
The power of prayer and not being afraid to surrender and bow
Before God giving it all to him, and changing what I have control of
Nothing great is easy, but with him I'll be tough enough
Church
It's not about the songs, the offering, being seen as equals
It's about the love for God we celebrate with people
Coming together to praise the higher being, thats helps make life a little more simple.
Church
