Clean

Clean

Purge the dust
from my ears, lungs, and nose
From the bellybutton too,
and away it all goes
More so to cleanse and renew
than out of disgust
My sole reason being
“I simply must”

Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
The key to my wellbeing
Ripping, bleeding, peeling
The key to my wellbeing

My hair, my skin, my nails
tear out their every root
If only for a moment, become a brute
as cleanliness unveils
Clean, clean, but be unseen
leave not a spot in-between
Purging, tearing, cleaning
the key to my wellbeing
