Poem -

Clear, bright and pleasant

Clear, bright and pleasant

Every day you say is there
A fire somewhere I think I
See  smoke no it must
Be my eyes always a little
Blurry the doctors are not
In a hurry they say one day
I need cataract surgery
So they say let’s take a test
Then your eyes will be there
Best

I watch the sunrise and thought
It looked the same and then came
My surgery on my right eye
And wow how clear bright
And pleasant it is, then came
The next day the sunrised
With my right eye i never
saw it the same way it was
Clear bright and pleasant
then I ever saw

Then the day came to do
My left eye and so it was done
None other time in my life
That I could see like this
The sunrised and I never
Saw it as beautiful in my life
And saw the moon and the stars
Were better than I ever saw
So clear, bright and pleasant

Clear, bright and pleasant more than sums up your poem displayed here my friend.
You after calm here Greg, a much needed piece of calm after a hiccup or bad luck. That curve that life throws at people that bad luck that floats around and settles on somebody.
Your poetry goes from strength to strength and like your eyesight is good to see
I hope your vision is 20/20 today as I write this Greg and thank you for sharing.
And your book review is now finally upped and there to also see.

Thank you Shaun
This means a lot to me
It has been a long two months
But it’s coming to an end
With this surgery I see better
Then I have in years and I hope
That you enjoy my book. Love and hugs, my great friend.

Greg, glad to hear that your quality of life has improved and to a greater extent.
Reading between your lines it seems like a great personal burden has been lifted and good riddance to it.
I hope you didn't have to wait a long time for that is an extra burden to bear.
Modern medicine is amazing with its laser treatments and breakthrough's being made on what seems like a weekly basis.
Anyway back to you, your poetry book is you all over .
It is a marvellous write throughout and perhaps you'll grace this world with another.
And soon Greg.
For there's plenty more in your poetry tank.👍🏼
