Cliffs of Dover

Cliffs of Dover

Cliffs of Dover like brittle glass
Battered by waves incessant pass
Offering briny tears it cannot weep
Yielding foamy pristine sweep

Crash ashore, dunes crumble
Fierce skies resoundingly rumble
Lightning strikes restless seas,
Igniting salty chaotic lees

Crests lament heartless disdain
Alas heedless ardent refrain
Evermore meekly procure
Enchantments mystical allure

Brackish ruin seawaters bear
Solace tis naught easy to spare
Stoic, crags humbly reside
For even vexed stone must abide

I knew right at this moment, this was going to be a great read. It didn't disappoint. Those white cliffs loom over the waters, and I loved the emotion you painted with your words. SoΒ descriptive,Β with such anΒ eerie feel. Wonderful write x

One. Off, to the coast. But, what a line, drawn. In white chalk, distinctive livery which designates a doorway, to the European ethic, away from " The Island " mentality. Here, is found the heart, of history, as influences transported from one place to another bear fruit. As well as memories to savour, for " workers " of time and space. To, effect lifestyle, and, choices. Freedom, expressed by travelling spirits, of progress, with those to come in mind. An unselfish attitude given over to commercial, and public, interest. Escaping, restrictive ideologies, and inhibiting weakening practices, sustained only for the sake of individual greed.Β
These, cliffs, you do not fall off, but, embrace as a friend of free-thinking, as well as libertarian constructs. To, improve our world, and ways.
:)Β  X
