Cliffs of Dover

Cliffs of Dover like brittle glass
Battered by waves incessant pass
Offering briny tears it cannot weep
Pulped alabaster foamy sweep
Crashing ashore, dunes crumble
Fierce skies resoundingly rumble
Lightning strikes a restless sea,
Ignited ritual churning lee
Rocks lament heartless disdain
Alas heedless ardent campaign
Forevermore to meekly procure
Enchantments of lunar allure
Brackish ruin seawaters bear
Solace nary easy to spare
Stoic, crags infinitely reside
For even vexed stone must abide

Β
thank you Greg.
Another beautiful write of magical ink Lisa with a sense of nothing lasts forever.
No matter how large or robust, time is the ultimate victor.
With captivating poetry a close second.
