My dearest sweet friend Leah, Mommy and Daddy just found out;
That you wrote me a beautiful Haiku, which has brought their tears about!
But somehow they had missed it, when you published it that day;
Three months ago in August, a week after I went away!

I know that they’re embarrassed, for not sooner seeing it;
With your perfect puppy picture, of me on the red carpet!
And speaking of red carpets, they’d like to roll one out for you;
Cause that was the sweetest loving gesture, that anyone could do!
