The Color Blue

The Color Blue

My breath is heavy, yet still short.

His eyes are piercing blue of some sort.

He grips my soul and pulls me in.

How much deeper in love must I be in?

His lips, so sweet.

With one touch I am weak.

He beckons me.

Where must we go?

To the deepest pits of forever and ever, we go.

As I follow this clear shade of blue, it seems I haven't the slightest clue.

As I start to realize how much this blue has gripped me, I begin to realize I have lost my key.

He beckons again.

Shall I come closer?

This is beginning to feel more like torture.

So much pain, my heart aches as I begin to pull away.

Such sweet words Blue begins to say, but now I know that it has always been this way.

Blue calls out "Why mustn't you stay?"

I cannot reply for I fear I will no longer look away.

Chi!  How mesmerizing you make the color "Blue" in this write.  I like the treatment of the color as you begin to softly describe its tender deceit…as it beckons for a deeper response Blue somehow turns into tormentor; "so much pain, my heart aches as I begin to pull away".  Ultimately, I fear that Blue will be the victor.

Excellent write!
