Color Me Lonely

A place where light is dark,
And where dark is everywhere,
I hit rock bottom,
And below.
Lonely at the bottom,
Surrounded by the dark,
Emptiness fills my mind,
And darkness becomes my life.
I have dried out lips,
Tearing themselves apart,
They’re panting all night,
Just to get a sip of water.
But the water’s unreachable,
And no one’s around,
To help me out,
And give me life.
Because you’re my source of life,
And I need you to live.
But you’re gone,
And I’ll be dead.
If I could fly,
I would spread my wings and fly to you,
But wings are broken,
So color me lonely.
