Poem -

colours beneath.

The strangest love I've ever met
Had dark eyes and lips of sin,

Pale was his complexion
yet a canvas was his skin,

outrageous colours lay beneath
The tattered clothes he wore,

just waiting to pull me inside
Swiftly then closing the door,

If you ever saw this love
on dark nights that yearn desire

You could easily mistaken him
for the flames of a burning fire,

I'm pretty sure I witnessed stars
amongst his soul so often black

It's been awhile since I lost
the night and welcomed daylight back.
