Come back St Patrick

Come back St Patrick

Where are you St Patrick
great myth of our isle
the snakes have returned
and have been here a while,
not like the serpentĀ
of gospel and song
they've learned to walk
and only do wrong,
not slithering or scaly
their venom in lies
purveyors of rhetoric
and nasty suprise,
dail Eireann their habitat
they've found a new grass
we lie here in trolleys
as doctors pass,
our unborn a sacrifice
for "choice" and for vote
sick children betrayed
in delusion they gloat,
ill gotten gain
in corruption and vice
our futures they gamble
without card or dice,
so come back St Patrick
great myth of our isle
try banish this lot
it will be worthwhile.
