Common Sense

Common Sense

If I abide by these rules
You all seem to follow
Forgiveness is a part
In these religious ways we swallow
Not for one second
Even if poor
Shall I ever thieve
To survive this war
Left out with no money
In a world that cries’ for more
I will use my common sense
Just to be Shure

Common sense
Could keep us alive
In a world with no trouble
There’s nowhere to hide
Common sense
Imprinted on my mind
But pressure has built
Over a long time
Common sense tells me
It’s the end of the line
Friends might pick me up
Somewhere in time
Common sense tells me
Its belief in you and eye
Belief in your surroundings
Not a fantasy on high
Common sense
It’s the knowledge
You have gathered through your life
All common sense
To know you’re wrong from right
Common sense tells me
If you can’t see then turn on the light
Keep common sense in your sight
