Consequences of a society

Consequences of a society

A simple person with big dreams,
A quiet personality with loud words.
A beauty inside,
A beauty outside,
An extroadinary person repressed.

One who looks but doesn't see,
Who listens but doesn't hear,
Who experiences but doesn't learn,
Who is alive but doesn't live.
An old youth with many riches,
And yet they remain poor.

Communication at an all time high,
Never truly alone at any time,
Yet emptiness crowds the soul.
Infinite knowledge at our fingertips,
Resort to everything short of education.

This is us.
