Consideration

Time has passed too long
The world has changed
It spins and spins away
Swallowing every day
Your face speaks of its change
The cat says it's stayed the same
No means to decide what's wrong or right
Our eyes weren't made to perceive time
All comparisons made inside
The imprint framework of the mind
These assumptions made they are not mine
Yet of middle ground there is no sight
Are we now changed or still the same?
Such questions gnawing on my brain
A bit of each perhaps we are
Another line to a familiar scar

But no, these thoughts they are not right
A consideration away from time
As relevant it would seem
As mind's endless night fled by dreams
The only thing that's in my mind that holds the form both true and right is that it has been far too long a time.

And I have missed you.
