Control

Control

I wonder what tomorrow will bring,
A day of goodness or misery,
Where either new life is given in birth,
Or death consumes back to the Earth.

If we all knew what each day brought,
I imagine most of us would be lost,
As many dark nights shadow in past,
Making us a warrior where not asked.

I think if I had a choice in the matter,
It would be easy to turn to latter,
As this I would give gladly back to God,
Because I trust Him to lead with rod.

The idea I could be in control scares me,
For I lack the wisdom to make this easy,
Not wanting to face my failure in the end,
And thus hurting others would be a sin.
