Coronavirus Poem

Life

Coronavirus Poem

Our happiness faded away
No more hugs or kisses
Today no more
Long walks with the dog
He even feels the strain

Sadness ahead
when will this ever end
Nobody knows

It's been a horrible year 2020
Coronavirus strikes again
A little child has just died
Coronavirus on our minds
Coronavirus on the news
When will this ever come to an end

Our distance is kept
Our lives in danger
And death dances
In the space between us

So let's keep our distance because
Our lives have changed like never before

The memories
Will never fade
I hold you every day
And hug you to
Your in my heart beating away
Your in a beautiful place my heart today

So I'm readying myself for more sadness
Because coronavirus hasn't go away
It's just an other dead today
But I promised the Lord Jesus Christ
Our savoir
I'll love and pray for everyone who's
Suffering from coronavirus
Every day.

Being Me

It's a very nasty virus. And what is soooo nasty is the fact that it is a bit like Russian Roulette. You may get it and be fine. You may get it and be very poorly and survive. But you may get it and be left with a lifetime of disability because of the way the virus attacked your body. Orb you may get it and die. Death hovers with this virus and it hovers indiscriminately. A friend of mine worked in a care home and saw first hand that it is not always those with other health conditions that die. She saw a very frail, weak person in their 90s go down with the virus and survive but equally she saw a pretty healthy (in comparison) person quickly die of it. Children do die from this. The young are not immuned to the scythe that it weilds.

Thank you for reminding us to keep ourselves safe. And to pray for those affected. Great poem, David x
