Society is the essence of me
Come forth from the creator deity
As Maat I give balance, order and cosmic harmony
I provide your foundation, a throne fit for a king!
Truth, Justice, and Righteousness
Are the qualities I bring
I'm like the ostrich feather,
Affected by, but unaltered by the winds of change
But this is just a part of me,
I go by many names
As Aset, I am your mistress
Of the house of architects
Queen of all the Neteru
The green goddess inside of you
I am she who has words of power
Life I bring and knowledge I shower
As Newt, I give birth to my son everyday
Then I swallow him up as the night comes to stay
In the form of Sheshat,
I am your female scribe
I taught Tahuti this,
To spread this skill worldwide
Then I wave my magic wand
With just a twist of my head
It is the creative source of ideas
By which ideas are led
As my opposite sister
I go by Neb-het or Nepthys,
My sorrow makes me weep....
Associated with death,
The eternal physical sleep
I am your silent mistress
Behind the throne up I creep
I am the protector of mothers
Giving birth to the creative consciousness
Of the universal mind
I Am that I Am
Inside of you, you will find
When you know me, you know thyself
I am the personification of the goddess
On earth and in heaven
I am vital to you and our world's health!
