Equal Progression

I found this beautiful sculpture
But it's not quite finished yet,
It looks so good on the outside
But some of the moulding still wet
It has so much potential
Just needs to be chiseled a bit
Then polished and thoroughly painted
And glazed so it won't chip- to last
Because when we don't protect art,
In time, it will pass
Dam I love this sculpture!
Because it's a diamond in the rough
And I've got the diamond cutter,
I possess all the right stuff!
But there's something I must admit
I confess...I feel a slight "pick" "pick"
Somehow I feel like I'm being changed
I see its for the better,
You did not rearrange...
Me, you saw me too!
And you were thinking the same thoughts As when I saw you
So you took out your tools
And to work you did start
And while I'm painting you up and down
You, you polish my heart
So we will work on each other
Because then we will forever grow
And I will never tire of you,
Nor you get tired of me
Because these are the task
That are most necessary
To mold a precious sculpture
To build our family.
