Cost of Life

Cost of life for me:
the grocery bill
It's not much, pretty average in fact
Cost of life for my great-grandma:
three years of her life of work
It's a lot, just to keep the lungs going
Cost of life for a cancer patient:
enough money and heartbreak to weigh you down for a lifetime
Should life have a price tag?
Should we have to live in debt to keep a loved one breathing?
Should one of our natural rights become a part of an industrialized machine?
Should we even have a cost of life?
