Costume

Costume

I have decided for Halloween to wear all my sins on skin

To not lie about what I am and show the whole world what I am inside

To reveal my soul

This Halloween I will not be wearing a costume

But actually taking off the mask I was forced to wear in order to hide the truth

This Halloween I come as my true self

I will not cover up the past

It may not be pretty

Might be a bit over the top

But the truth is that this is the one day of the year I can show myself

Trick or treat…here I come.
