Courage

Pity steals your power
Even for just an hour
Strength knows nothing of pity
The burglar and devourer
Empathy greets not sympathy
For it restores your power
Even for just an hour
To have an understanding ear
Has a way of removing fear
To hear that you know the way
And with love can tell me how
You overcame the darkest hour
It is a hope I can hold onto
To see that you did make it thru
Because then I know that I can too
So empathy is courage true
To see me hurting and you been there too
With eyes of faith then you can now
Tell the good news of how
 I'll be praying for you
