Cows

In the air, stunning the mild mill.
Early morning mud paths
Ground into the earth, a cow herd.
Hooves shifting beneath the bold weight
Squelch in the suction.
At home is how they seem on the land.
Unlike me who needs as equally
The silence of the city's museums,
The spoken loud words of poetry.
