CPS Destroyers
Once you were a happy family
Happy in every way,
Marines in the military
Serving our country day to day
A profession to be highly respected
Every American holds very dear,
Happy family with a baby in tow
Never knowing that CPS was near
Mom and dad working hard
With a new baby still in the Marines,
Until an anonymous caller informed CPS
The loving family quickly lost their
dreams
That phone call came so suddenly
Out of the blue from daycare,
Explaining that CPS came through
Stealing their baby giving all a scare
Mother and Father fighting so hard
To get their precious baby home,
Following CPS rules, jumping through hoops
Thorough as a fine tooth comb
As it turned out all their dreams fell
through
After CPS took their sweet baby from daycare,
Mother and father shuddered with
fear
Because now their darling baby is
in foster care

It comes across as well considered and truly powerful in its formatting and perfectly delivered A,B,A,B rhyme scheme..... it is not easy to convey such emotional subject matter in a poetic narrative...... you have succeed BEAUTIFULLY here.......I pray that this has not happened to you or your immediate family...... it is the kind of nightmare that no one would wish to experience.... having said that......I must say that poetically it is a VERY well conceived and BEAUTIFULLY delivered piece of poetry!!....... with some fine word choices creating some truly moving and impactful phrasing!!.......ALL STARS!!..... well done dear poet sister!!.... and..... in case no one has said so........ I read an article online 10 Things You Should Know About CPS...
When you get a chance read what a worker says and the questions and answers at the bottom...
There was a child removed and clear signs of abuse from the Foster Parents and they lied about the family to the Judge, but nothing happened to the Foster Parents...
It's CPS words against the Family everytime...
Something needs to change but, it seems like they lie and that's all there is to it...
There are children in danger yet, many aren't saved...
The system is corrupt and they pretend to want to help so they can twist it and use it against the family...
It is damned if you do and damned if you don't...
I wish your friends the best of luck I hope someone can help them...
