Cracked

Beautiful lies kill hateful truths,
the results they are deplorable.
Humpty Dumpty was no egg,
the bloody scene was horrible.
All the kings men rushed to and fro,
they tried to fix his head.
The tragic fall that broke the man
left only humans dead.
It makes a person ponder
where truth does truly lie,
and if a made up broken egg
should be a big surprise.
We seek, we lean towards comfort.
Hateful truths ignored.
For simple death of humble man
would leave the children bored.
