Poem -

cracks in the pavement.

Why should i feel ,
Like i have let you down,
My feet were always planted here,
On our solid ground,
You shook the pavement,
Beneath my feet,
I felt our love become empty,
Incomplete,
Why should i feel,
Like what we had wasn't real,
Didn't you see me,
My love you denied to feel,
Who does that?
Cracks in the pavement
begin to grow,
A fight to stand up straight,
My love for you tormenting,
Beginning to suffocate,
My heart beating slow,
What was it? Or who?
Maybe I'll never know,
Hanging on tight,
Not wanting to let go,
The ground underneath,
Opening pulling me in,
This fight for love,
This love,
I didn't win.

Choking frightful freak,...concluding lines are beautiful -

"Not wanting to let go,

The ground underneath,

Opening pulling me in,

This fight for love,"

With regards,

BLOSSOM

Nicely written Nardine, liked the comparison between the pavement beneath your feet and the cracks and shakey ground, and the lost love. Ā Feelings well conveyed:)
