CRAVING YOUR AFFECTION

When I crave your affection

It's like humans craving food

I don't ask, I demand it

Or I'm in a real bad mood

I'll pounce, I'll jump all over you

I'll get right up in your face

I know how to get what it is I want

And then leave without a trace

Ready or not, here I come

To rub my nose against your face

I'll spread the goodness of my fur

And scatter it every place

On your food, in your eyes

Even up your nose

Traces of my love,  my fur 

Left upon your clothes

I watch and wait patiently

For the most inconvenient moment

I've come to claim you as my own

As I leave behind my scent

When I crave your affection

You'll be the first to know

Until then, don't hassle me

I must be free to come and go
