Cristal Demons

More money that comesÂ
More money that goesÂ
He tries to keep up
But is overexposedÂ
Seconds of wealthÂ
poison his veinsÂ
with bubbly spiritsÂ
and the finest champagnesÂ
The truth is kept secretÂ
from what few remainsÂ
Golden riches just coverÂ
his deepest of pains
Thief to his happiness
Strips him within
Enrages his cockinessÂ
Awakens his sinÂ
What once brought him life,
he now runs from
Ashamed, hopeless;Â
little to no outcomeÂ
His mask is bright, his words, they sing, his love is strong but his heart is weak
Shadows,Â
colored with bouquetsÂ
of flowery cocaineÂ
Dependent,
on mere minutes
to feel the high life of reign Â
Tears of ecstasy flood his faceÂ
Each taste brings him dysphoriaÂ
Memories spark from a past placeÂ
A grandiose state of euphoriaÂ
I guess time can only tellÂ
how this tottering saga ends
Inside he pleads it will beÂ
with his truest of family and friends
What a tragic story it is of a boyÂ
who knows his faithful placeÂ
But the one thing that he wants to loveÂ
is viewed with highest disgraceÂ
Outside are arms open wideÂ
accepting and parading with graceÂ
He prays one day he'll build the strengthÂ
to win the earthly raceÂ

Hey Syd!,
  Thank you so much!
And yess I did learn that the hard way because I have a typo in âMolded Memoryâ and CANâT correct it. Itâs driving me crazy!Â
Â
Hi Dominick, you're welcome.
You can edit your poems just not your comments on your own or other peoples work. Just press (or click) on your poem and scroll to the top. You should have a choice of Veiw or Edit.Â
Hop this helps. Take care - SydÂ
