Price of Freedom

Price of Freedom

Is law a poor man's guide book?
Unable to pay one's way past
Yes, the law has a heavy price
Though some are ready with cash

Firm the ones without a penny
Loose the ones with two
The price of freedom is high
The amount to pay is few

For those without a bank
Their life is how they pay
Money is laws best friend
Lucky the rich with no dismay

In his home the rich man settles
Pleased at the price
Behind the bars the rest grieve
Losing half their lifeĀ
