Crumbling Tower of Ants

Float on and float away into the mist and the sea

Watch the ants in amazement how they build

To the sky they build and never can get high

They try, They try to die and never succeed

A cloud the ants watch float by and by

No not high, Not high enough

The ants in amazement watch time fly by

Who is at the top of the pile

Who is above the rest of the ants

As they stand in amazement

They cannot run from the inevitable

They cannot run from the water

Drowning in a sea of glitter

They cannot find the gold

Too shiny, They are too cold

On a tower ants climb from a river

The ants have run out of time

Rushing and scurrying to climb

The tower cannot save their life

Their soul has drown in all the pain

Striving to live another painless day

The ants all float away in amazement

Washed clean from all the sinful guilt

Churning and burning their souls to dust

While they collected the glitter they found

Blinded to the gold they passed by

Blinded by the goal they were building

The tower to glitter, The gold underground

And the ants they stood and stood

They stood ants, No more than ants

They stood as ants in amazement
